Al di là dei gusti soggettivi, la classifica risulta piuttosto discutibile e qualcosa balza subito all'occhio:
è a dir poco assurdo trovare il Batman di Tim Burton in fondo al 47° posto,  inspiegabile vedere il capostipite dei cinecomic moderni, il primo X-Men, solo al 33° posto e paradossale vedere il primo epico crossover di supereroi The Avengers dietro al nuovo SpiderMan con Tom Holland e Thor:Ragnarok.
